Jan 12, 2017 · I want to use the Ultra Fast Boot feature of Win8, but I do not know which vid cards support UEFI GOP. Without it, one cannot use the Ultra Fast Boot feature. I currently have a MSI 560TI Twin Frozr III, but it does not support this needed feature.

Mar 10, 2014 · Only series that would need a update would be Kepler 600 series video cards. UEFI support is needed across your hard to get full utilization. Do you have any issues on legacy mode? Hi, Just to be perfectly clear, does that mean GTX 750 series have an UEFI Bios and support GOP mode ? could I boot with CSM disabled with theses cards ?

Nov 12, 2012 · Unfortunately for you (for me as well) 500 series doesn't support GOP and no future support planned. If you want GOP UEFI capable BIOS you must buy a new card of 600 series. Also even them may not support it so check before you'll buy. You may request a new hybrid BIOS (for you new 600 ser. card) from manufacturer after purchase but no guaranties.

For all these cards only UEFI/GOP vbios are available. There are only very few situations where a legacy vbios is really required though. That only covers boards using a UEFI bios (!) that is not GOP compliant. For boards with a legacy bios it is irrelevant if a UEFI/GOP or legacy vbios is used. ... 2.) Does such a "GOP driver" for the operating system exist or does only the GPU have to have one? In other words: do later Windows versions (8 and later) have or need an OS-side GOP driver and/or functions, or is it simply the absence of VGA functions (like described in 1.) ), that makes them work in pure UEFI environments?
