Problem is the new drive does not have my old copy of Office for the Mac. All I have is the upgrade version of Office:mac 2008 with all documentation including product key, etc. but without prior version it will not complete the install. Unfortunately I cannot simply go with Office 365 because that requires a more recent system software.
