So far, Palm has shown little interest in bringing support for SDHC cards to its traditional handhelds, but a developer may handle the job, if there’s enough interest. Devices like the Palm TX , Tungsten T5, and LifeDrive debuted during the days when SD cards maxed out at 2 GB (or in some cases 4 GB).

And of course, now you have support for SDHC cards. There are caveats of course. First, to use cards whose size is 4GB or over, your device needs to support the FAT32 filesystem. Only Palm LifeDrive and Palm TX ship with it included. All other devices will need to install a FAT32 driver. There is only one option for where to get one - Palm Inc.

Sep 10, 2011 · The PowerUPs SDHC driver works great on the TX and Lifedrive so that they will allow use of much larger (than 2GB or 4GB) SHDC cards in them. Allows for much more memory storage (e.g. music, books, movies, etc). I highly recommend you get it ( PalmPowerups). Well worth the money!

Jun 12, 2019 · I use a Transcend 4GB SD card that is not SDHC in my Palm TX handheld. It works well and has 3.6GB of stuff on it. The TX has a FAT32 library so it has no trouble reading cards > 2GB. However, the TX doesn't support SDHC memory cards. Does anyone know if a 8GB non-SDHC SD card exists? I'm pretty sure the answer is "no" but thought I'd ask anyway.
