Hello , thanks for the replies, I have actually just bought a sigma 10-20 F3.5 HSM and the auto focus doesn't seem to work.Hence my question. (I thought I'd better check before I complained). Apparantly old Pentax dslr's including the k100 and k110 doesn't support HSM which sounds a bit close to the K10.

Jan 04, 2008 · Pentax (traditionally) haven't seen 35mm as 'pro' equipment, they saved their top stuff for medium format. They haven't really gotten off to the best start in DSLRs, but they do seem to be making up significant ground at the moment, with the K100D/Super and K10D being very successful. The SDM lenses (I think) are the next step in the Pentax revival.

Feb 06, 2008 · It seems as the following Sigma lenses will have internal focus motor as they state about the Pentax version (at dpreview): “If the camera body does not support HSM motor, AF does not work.”. The HSM motor is in the lens.
