Nov 07, 2010 · No as you need something in the middle to Transcode/Remux the file from an MKV to a file format the PS3 supports. Either Run the file through MKV2VOB on a PC and copy converted file back to USB stick, stream with PS3 Media server from a PC or from Ps3 XMB Connect to PS3 Media server running on a PC and copy the file over to the PS3.

As far as the .mkv files, I can’t put PS3 Media Server on the MyCloud nor stream from MyCloud->laptop->PS3. I tried streaming to my laptop and using PMS to play on PS3, but even my avi files did not appear. As far the subtitles, I have way too many files to go through consolidation of .avi and .srt files.
