May 20, 2014 · I can also confirm that there is controller support. If you have a wired Xbox 360 controller it will work without problems. I'm not sure about the rest of the controllers though. Edit: This also includes the Wireless Xbox 360 controller with a receiver.

Jul 09, 2018 · The game supports Xbox 360, Xbox one, Dualshock 4 and Nintendo Switch Pro controllers natively (alongside m+kb) and you can even add mappings for your very own direct input controller to any of the above mentioned ones (though right now we have not yet documented this *and* it is an ugly config file job).

But for some reason, Red Faction is only recognizing it as a Gamepad. Which sets the buttons up all stranger (ex: start button is attack). I've looked everywhere and can't find an answer.

Sep 09, 2014 · If the game doesn't have native controller support, and if the Pure Faction Patch (if you don't have it, I would strongly recommend you to install it, it adds widescreen support, for instance) doesn't include it either, you could use some of those programs that detect your controller buttons and map it to the keyboard, like Joy2Key.

controller, your gonna play this game like a bonified saints row game, since it has the same mechanics and game engine, and since the game has you in third- person id say go for controller, plus its more fun using the hammer with the controller, but its only personal pref, if your not sure try both so you can find out what tickles your fancy

Dec 18, 2014 · i have the wired xbox 360 controller and it does not work well. i can't navigate in the menu with it. ingame it works fine but if i get a notification popup, i have to acknowledge it with the left mouse button. also i can't change controlls for the controller. it looks like the game does not recognize it.
