But even if it does not support, there are some software that can help you to remap controller keys to keyboard keys, like if you bind the r2 of the controller with space, whenever you press r2, the computer will receive it as space.

I usually play my games with Xbox 360 controller (for long rush or gathering) but rust doesn't support natively the controller. After some tries with Xpadder (doesn't work for me, can't detect my controller) i finally found GlovePIE.

It looks like the touch pad will function as a mouse, but I would bet anything that for games designed without a controller in mind such as rust, it will be clunky and more of a pain in the ass than anything if it does work at all. The controller only really works for movement. The only other thing you can do is open doors and interact with objects. You can't do melee attacks but you can fire a gun. It's really not worth it at this time as almost everything else needs the keyboard.

Dec 19, 2018 · PC, controller player here. Yes it does support controller thankfully! Mine works quite well & is way more comfortable then the mouse and keyboard set up You wont need to use mouse / keyboard if you don't want to, the only thing it'll be required for is the chat.

Yesterday had a boatload of announcements at x019 and there are plenty of great games on the way. Aug 24, 2014 · If the game features full gamepad support, I'll use it, but some games are better left to just mouse/keyboard. Counter Strike, battlefield, left4dead, (maybe portal), and fast paced shooters like unreal are keyboard/mouse only in my book. If you use a controller for those games, you're asking for me to murder you.
