    Apr 28, 2008 · You don't, but you just can't use Safari. Finder does do FTP though. From finder hit cmd+k (this is also in one of the Finder menus) and a connect to server window should pop up. Type or copy in the address and the FTP server should mount as a network drive.

    Jun 05, 2013 · Thank you Andy. I tried the "direct links to files" method you mentioned, but still no go on my Safari. On Firefox, it worked fine though. When i tried a ftp link that links to directories, on Safari, it hands it off to Finder, but when i typed in the username and password, they are not accepted.

    Sep 15, 2015 · When I follow the above path and click "View" which previously opened the site and displayed the folders, it now does nothing and returns me to the "press Alt" page. Spent almost 2 hours on chat support and got nowhere. Anybody have a solution/work around? IE was the only browser that worked with FTP sites, that I know of. Thanks.
