Jan 25, 2012 · Hi does anyone know if Skys Sagemcom routers support WDS? I couldnt see anything in the Sky config I have had to fit a new router on top of my Sky+HD box in my living room down stairs but have my Xbox and main PC upstairs. Previously I was using a Netgear DG834Gv5 router upstairs with the PC and console.

As @SDR says you can actually use any router you like now and bin the Sky router if thats what you want to do. Alternatively, to mimic modem only mode on the Sky router, you'll want to turn off WiFi & DHCP and put the IP address of your secondary router in the DMZ of the Sky router.

Hi if you drop me an email i will send you the software to unlock the netgear DG824GT Sky broadband router, remember the waranty will be void and Sky wont support it. There is no real difference in the firmare but i have heard thjat Netgear will be releasing a Xtended range version of the firmware that wont be availible from Sky.
