Telstra - I keep coming to this thread to no avail. I actually called Telstra the other week to enquire about annex m.I spent hours being shunted around the phone system talking to a whole bunch of people who dont even know what it is.

Unfortunately Telstra don't offer Annex M ADSL connections. 0.76 is quite reasonable for a standard ADSL2+ connection. As far as I'm aware only a limited number of ISPs offer AnnexM and even fewer offer it to residential subscribers.

(Annex M is not available on Internode ADSL services connected via a Telstra Wholesale or Optus Wholesale DSLAM port, or some Internode DSLAM ports that don't support Annex M). An Annex M compatible modem/router (you will need to enable Annex M mode).

Just got of the phone from Telstra Technical support and they don't know which VDSL2 stanard they are using and advised me to speak to a field technicain. The two stanards are are Annex A or Annex B, which one does Telstra utilise?

Jan 25, 2014 · looking at annex m, most co's offering this service is a business service only not available on residential plans, if ya looking at the likes of fetch tv and so forth I doubt annex m is going to be much use for you... Internode offer Annex M on every plan, I think. You just log on and change your own profile.

I have a Telstra bundle with a 500GB Liberty Elite plan. It's supposed to provide an ADSL2+ service, but the modem says that the connection is "G.992.3 annex A" - which is another way of saying ADSL2 (without the '+'), which provides half the maximum theoretical speed of ADSL2+.ADSL2+ is "G.992.5".

Your modem stats look great, your downspeed sync is very high/good. Does your connection only slow down at particular times of day? Try doing another speedtest past 12:00am, around 1-3am is a pretty dead time so your best possible results are around those times, post that result if you can.

To use Annex M ADSL2+ with iiNet, you'll need a current Business ADSL2+ broadband plan with an original sync speed (i.e. prior to adding Annex M) above 8MB in the downstream - otherwise having Annex M will likely provide no benefit to your upload speed. You'll also need an ADSL2+ modem/router which is capable of Annex M. Please check this with ...
