Dec 26, 2013 · I would consider yourself lucky to actually get the system to read you back texts. The Sync system allows the text messaging with most Android smartphones… Otherwise, pushing the Home button on the front lower screen of the Apple phone (iPhone 4S and newer) will summon Siri.

Bluetooth is very short distance networking protocol that works between various devices but has a very limited distance range. That being said, sending messages via Bluetooth is not a function built-in to iOS that I know of.

When she tries to use the text feature, she gets a screen with a yellow exclamation mark that says "the currently connected phone does not support text messaging via Bluetooth".
