Previous PS3 consoles did provide ps2 compatibility, but they were discontinued and are very difficult to get hold off. They would be second-hand too. If its really important, keep your ps2!

I have a gut feeling that as soon as PS2 leaves the market, PS2 games will be uploaded on PSN (PS2 will leave next year as 10 years complete then).
