Furthermore, in looking at the VirtualBox documentation, it does not appear that it currently supports setting up an ARM environment. I did however notice some other ARM virtual environments but did not look to see what platform they run on or how well they perform.

Aug 17, 2015 · It’s made for ARM processors and Virtualbox is expecting an OS to support an X86 processor. This just means we need to be more selective in the OS version that we use, so we’re going to use Ubuntu or other supported platforms for our image, then add the Raspian on top of it.

Jul 25, 2017 · 64bit arm (aarch64/arm64) support or 32bit armhfp support. Assuming 64bit, we support Applied Micro’s X-Gene family of processors, Cavium’s ThunderX, as well as Qualcomm’s QDF 24xx line. We maintain support for the AMD Seattle SoC as well, but that doesn’t appear to be getting updates that I know of.

@SidhiCiang DietPi is an operating system which has both an ARM release (that you can use on a Raspberry Pi) and an x86 release (that you can use on a PC or in VirtualBox). Raspbian only has an ARM release (it's pretty much just a rebranded Debian, so if you want to run it on a PC, just run Debian).
