Hi all. Host: Windows 10 x64. VMware Workstation 15.5 Pro I imported an ova file (metasploitable3) to play with. After the VM was imported with success, I realized that no IP is available for this particular VM - all other VMs (Windows or Linux) receives an IP.

Nov 11, 2007 · Looking back at history of VMware Server support, it did not offer official support beyond initial release (almost 1.5 year ago). With VMware Server 2.0 release coming soon, I think that history will repeat itself, and we won't see official support for Windows Server 2008 for quite some time. You may have much better luck with VMware Workstation:

Apr 07, 2011 · Indeed vmware workstation also supports it, would be nice to have a way to import it in Hyper-V. Currently you might be able to just use the VMWARE ovftool and convert it to vmware, afterwards you could convert it with vmware to hyper-v format
