Feb 20, 2007 · WPA2 works fine for me... I am running WPA2 network (AES) at home and the Wii picked up on it no problem. The speed became dramatically faster after I switched to channel 11, since there are multiple networks near me, and I suspect all my neighbors left their defaults (probably 6).

Mar 16, 2017 · It's also a portable device, and it shouldn't be hard to support it even if it's not what most people use. My old crappy android phone can support it, why can't Nintendo? It seems people don't really care about having more support and features though, so ill just leave it at this.

Aug 16, 2006 · Personal opinion: if the Wii only supports WEP, its wireless functionality is basically worthless to me. If it only does wired with an adapter, I will be doubly annoyed.

Go to "Network Settings", select Infrastructure Mode, then "Scan", select your SSID, then manually select the encryption type "WPA-PSK (AES)" and proceed to typing in your network key.
