Oct 24, 2012 · The issue with windows 8 and ruining games is just the bitching about the windows 8 certification process for software, including games. It seems to just be an extra fee for game makers and a certification process which can be a bitch and is largely blown out of proportion.

Jan 05, 2015 · I've read a few comments about older games not working under Windows 8, specifically <DX9 and openGL games. This is by no means a comprehensive list, obviously, but all these games will work on Windows 8 without issues. i'll be testing more of my games over the next few weeks, and will add to this thread with those older games which work (or not).

Sep 22, 2013 · in windows 7 these games got 100+fps. in windows 8 they get 11 to 20fps. its not hardware issue, so I dont need to list my hardware. its a 2012 build. some dev and other people are noticing this problem as well.5/5(1)

Jun 04, 2014 · I'm pretty much of the opinion that a high percentage of games running under Windows 7 will also run under Windows 8. Of course the older the game is or skittish it is, than yeah, there could be issues but... Anyway someone posted STALKER SOC doesn't run under Windows 8.1, but my (retail) copy runs just fine.
