Jul 17, 2012 · I recently downloaded Windows XP Mode for my PC, I run Windows 7 Professional, and I was trying to connect a USB Device to the XP Mode, but all the USB Ports in my PC are 3.0 and the device cannot connect to the Windows XP Mode. It says to move it to another USB Port or to restart the Windows XP Mode.

The key is emulating a Renesas (formerly NEC) uPD720201 xHCI controller instead of the default and better documented Intel Panther Point chip. Unfortunately, unlike Intel, Renesas does not offer any drivers for download.

Jun 19, 2014 · PC is a Dell Precision M4800 (USB 3.0 ports only). Operating system is Windows 7Ultimated 64bit inc SP1. XP mode is installed due to the need to run various programming software. Simatic Manager V5.5is installed in the XP Mode as it would not inastll in windows 7. WinCC Flexible 2008 is also installed within the XP Mode virtual system.
