Apr 07, 2006 · Widescreen monitors - changing the resolution in Windows XP. Hello, I've recently bought a 19" widescreen monitor (Acer 8ms AL1916W 1440 x 900) Monitor which I'm pleased with. However, in trying to change the display resolution in Windows XP, I don't have the option to change the resolution to 1440 x 900. The closest I get is 1280 x 768.

Re: Windows 2003 server == no wide screen support... It probably has more to do with the videodrivers than the OS. I run XP x64 on my primary PC. XP x64 is really Windows 2003 x64 without a few of the server application features.
