Indirectly proving my point: it stinks on DX 11; it plays much better on DX 9.There is as of now no reason to port a game to DX 11 unless you have coders with nothing better to do, or you can actually do something better with DX 11. No game developer can afford the former, and none have succeeded at the latter.

Dec 26, 2016 · I am running DX9, and - while graphics is just splendid (1080p, almost all to ultra, AA off) - it is more a question of effective utilization of HW resources. as per my information, DX 11 might just run better with same HW and some better postpro. p.s.

DirectX 9 (strictly, 9.0c) is also the last version of DirectX that Windows XP supports. Windows XP was still a slight majority of Windows desktops at the time the game was released.

dosent matter if the integrated gpu has full dx 11.2 and full dx12 support, chances are it wont be able to play witcher 3 at minimum settings. If you try to play games on a IGPU, you might aswell buy a console, because its better than your pc. And your probably too clueless to install a GPU, lol.

According to PCGH, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will support Nvidias PhysX technology, as well as DX11 features such as tessellation, Global Illumination and MSAA. Whats interesting here is that CD Projekt RED decided to ditch Havok and stick with Nvidias PhysX technology.
