As an SLI user for many years and a WoW fanatic, WoW had among the BEST SLI scalings of at least 50 games I played. On BFA, removal of EFS made a mess and although a patch one week ago made SLI scaling great as in pre BFA era, yesterday's mini update fucked it up again (G-Sync aswell).

Apr 04, 2008 · A 7600GT will run WoW in all it's glory with all settings on high at high frame rates. The bottleneck in WoW is that it is a CPU intensive game. The faster the CPU you have, the better the frames you will get in high population areas, like Shattrath City. A 9600GT will tear through WoW's graphics easily without SLI.

It is a topic that has been discussed at some length for quite some time. A lot of people running SLI get better performance in WoW with one card, as opposed to 2.

It's still a carrot on a stick game but Blizzard does a great job hiding that aspect, obviously if that type of game does not appeal to you at all then the game itself won't appeal to you. On a side note; WoW has had a 1-10 scale system for some time, it's not new.
