As an SLI user for many years and a WoW fanatic, WoW had among the BEST SLI scalings of at least 50 games I played. On BFA, removal of EFS made a mess and although a patch one week ago made SLI scaling great as in pre BFA era, yesterday's mini update fucked it up again (G-Sync aswell).

Aug 09, 2019 · SLI and Crossfire are pretty much dead as a technology. What could be done is DX12 / Vulkan multi-GPU support. It’s in like one or two games at this point but it allows using multiple GPUs, even dGPU and integrated graphics… But it requires low level support of it in the game.

May 24, 2019 · DX12 does not support Crossfire and SLI and instead has put the responsibility on the game developers to integrate the new way to use multi-gpu setups, Explicit mGPU, into titles. A few games have done this, but I HIGHLY doubt Blizzard will spend the resources to do it.

Apr 04, 2008 · The bottleneck in WoW is that it is a CPU intensive game. The faster the CPU you have, the better the frames you will get in high population areas, like Shattrath City. A 9600GT will tear through WoW's graphics easily without SLI. Use the extra money to buy a better CPU in this case.

Nov 10, 2015 · A lot of people running SLI get better performance in WoW with one card, as opposed to 2. The WoW engine just does not work well with it for many. you are simply wrong. I know ppl run sli since cata and saw differences. Even as small as they were cause back then you could run it with a toaster it still worked fine.
