New WRT160N v3 with firmware v3.0.00 build 010 Feb 3, 2009 still running flawlessly after 5 days and no disconnects. I think they may have gotten everything worked out with this latest version. I didn't even have to set it up to use the OpenDNS servers either.

The router's official firmware does not support SNMP. A 3rd party firmware may get this going on your E3000. Keep in mind though that installing a 3rd party software will render the hardware warranty void.

Enabling SNMP is probably the most easiest thing to do. Of course I could just wait and hope that DD-WRT will get supported, which has it enabled. In a nutshell, throw us techies and nerd a bone and enable more advanced features on this model.

Windows Server 2016 does not support SNMPv3. Microsoft officially states that SNMP is deprecated in Windows Server 2012 and up, so I doubt you'll be seeing anything from Microsoft in the future either. They are all into WinRM and Powershell remoting now. We've had a similar issue a while ago.
