I am using H264 camera Passthrough and one camera. Restarting the system and camera doesn't help, and switching to x264 encode instead of passthrough does resolve the issue, but when switching back to passthrough the issue remains. MJPEG playback is working. I'm wondering if anyone has an idea why this is happening?

Aug 02, 2013 · Zoneminder currently does not support cameras whose only method of authentication is via a separate password challenge response after making initial communication to the camera. When using a web browser, this manifests as a pop-up login after entering the camera's ip address. Foscam H.264 cameras come to mind, and it is discussed here:

Disabling features like 3D Noise Reduction and lowering bit-rate does help, but I'd prefer not to have to hobble the camera to get stable video. Might as well buy an old 2MP bullet cam. The camera is doing H.264, the MJPEG is coming from ZoneMinder
