I built a boot disk to access a USB external hard drive from DOS using drivers included with Norton Ghost. 2003. One problem I've had with PCMCIA hard disks is that strange things happen if you don't initialise them correctly. If you have a drive that can be read and written to perfectly happily, but cannot be made bootable despite the apparent success of a SYS or FORMAT /S, you have to initialise the disk using the initialisation utility.

Well I got a pcmcia card adapter for the external drive and Acronis Disk Director the external hard drive via pcmcia! The only problem is the stinkin' OS selector does not... It seems as if the OS selector doesnt boot up drivers the way disk director suite does. I'm looking for solution, any help is appreciated!
