Aug 02, 2008 · I've noticed that when XP has a problem with some (not all) SATA hard disks, it isn't actually the SATA hard disk which requires a special driver, it's the motherboard's SATA controller. So maybe you should check the motherboard manufacturer's support site for a DOS driver (not very likely, but worth a try).
