"MSCDEX mounted subdirectory limited support" is a normal message when you mount a directory on your hard drive as a CD instead of mounting an actual CD-ROM drive. It will not prevent Daggerfall from installing. Make sure you're using DOSBox 0.73 and that you are following the Daggerfall install instructions TO THE LETTER.

Feb 10, 2013 · I'm trying to get Stonekeep working on DOSBox under Kubuntu 12.10. I can mount the hard drive where the installed files live, but when it comes to mounting the CD I'm running into issues. If I do mount e /media/label_of_cd -t cdrom I get MSCDEX: mounted subdirectory: limited support and the executable can't find the CD.

Just updating now, the message from DOSbox indicates that MSCDEX mounted subdirectory: limited support. Drive E is mounted as CDrom. Mount C: The Need For Speed SE also works as well, as it states it has been mounted as the local directory. Now when I get to the E: INSTALLD.EXE on DOSbox, I type that and nothing happens...

I have downloaded the latest version , but i have no clue what to do with it !!! I have read hundreds of posts and yet cannot figure where my driver (mscd001 or something) is?
