Jun 13, 2013 · Now that being said Omni is a great support hero in lane and team-fights, but he doesn't have the aggressive move set and item independence that you need with a hard support. If your taking last hits from your carry, or if the enemy team is able to keep harassment on your carry then you aren't doing your job as a support.

Both can transition from 4 or 5 position support into a semi-carry role. Both have global ultimates that can possibly save your out-of-position carry. Both have good team fight abilities and aoe damage. After mana boots and force staff, you can pick up offensive support items like Veil, Atos or Solar Crest that help both you and your team.
