I just upgraded to Windows 8.1 with IE11, and I can no longer drag and drop links onto existing tabs. Why was this removed? That was one of the most useful features of tabbed browsing.

I've built this checker-board app which uses HTML5's Drag&Drop with javascript. It works great on chrome and firefox, but not on IE9 or IE8. My guess is that the problem is with how I attached the events. This here is where the events are attached for all browsers BUT IE:

Dragging and dropping web parts works great in Internet Explorer, but it doesn't work at all in Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. I recently upgraded the site to ASP.NET 3.5 SP1, but I am still unable to drag and drop web parts in non-IE browsers. How can I enable drag and drop web parts in these other browsers? Most use drag & drop in addition to browsing for files. I prefer to use drag & drop, but it doesn't seem to be working in IE 11. It works in Chrome, so I believe it is a IE 11 issue, rather than Windows.
