Apr 04, 2007 · Rewrote the Dragon's Lair driver from the schematics. Added new module machine/laserdsc.c which has laserdisc emulation for the PR-7280 and LD-V1000 laserdisc players. Full emulation of the laserdisc is pending support for CHD audio/video and high quality rips, but you can operate the game and see the frame numbers that would be displayed.

Sep 01, 2005 · Very nice to see work going on with laserdiscs. Has the main laserdisc players been emulated for Dragon's Lair Space Ace ect. as I know some laserdisc games are emulated in MAME but not sure if they was the pcb versions of them or even if there was pcb versions of them.

Dec 31, 2019 · Dragon's Lair is not supported in MAME. Laser Disc game support was added fairly recently, but the popular ones are not in there yet. I would guess that they are in no hurry to get those in there since Daphne works well enough to keep the masses over there.

Jan 29, 2010 · And thats for ony 4 LD games, there are 13 more games (most likely all the Digital Leisure games: Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II, Space Ace, and Thayer's Quest wont ever make it into MAME). I just dont see them being that great in order to take up that much space. Daphne seemed to be working fine at a ... Is it worth getting the LD CHDs in MAME?

Sep 16, 2011 · It will actually download all files you need to play games in Daphne automatically. It works well but the downside is it will not get the 3 most popular Daphne games which are Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair 2, and Space Ace (there is a problem with the game Cliff Hangar and as of now it is not working in Daphne).
