Drupal 8 no longer supports MyISAM as the primary storage engine, so InnoDB table types are recommended. NDB tables (MySQL Cluster) are not supported.

Jul 04, 2017 · Even the free version of the MSSQL is better than MySQL will ever be. So why no native support for this. If I understand how drupal does everything it use a database layer to talk to the databases. So I'm failing to see why you can not create and support native MSSQL connection. Microsoft is create and updating the drive for PHP.
