Feb 04, 2017 · DSiware and pretty much all DS games that came out after 2010 support WPA/WPA2 if you play them on a DSi or 3DS. Don't believe anybody who tells you otherwise. If you were to make a homebrew that would support WPA/WPA2 you'd have to make it able to run in DSi mode.

Jun 20, 2013 · Only older games support only WEP connections. Newer games like your White 2 support WPA/WPA2 on DSi or 3DS as well. I used WPA connection on my DSi with Black/White and Black/White 2 games too. It should work for you. Try erasing the settings on your DSi and set them up new. And be sure to used the "Advanced Setup".

Apr 20, 2012 · No, the DS does not support anything other than WEP encryption unfortunately. It simply will not work with WPA/WPA2. You can either switch your router to WEP temporarily, which is annoying and sounds like not really an option with your roommates, or set up a second connection.

I know, because I still have a Wii and it's connected via WPA2 to my network right now... you just need to make sure that the settings and type of WPA2 authentication match your router precisely. After that, double check the password you entered on the Wii.

I've learned that original (and Lite) Nintendo DS systems do not support WPA/WPA2 Wifi encryption, but the newer hardware (DSi, 3DS) does. I've also learned that this only applies to newer games, and that older games require WEP, even on newer systems.
