So you need the windows media 9 player or codec and a very high end computer to output it to your HDTV or play it on your monitor.

    May 20, 2009 · It means you TV doesn't support HDCP, or High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. Your cable box won't output a signal because without HDCP the signal could be copied, to a DVD or other recording device. Basically, its yet another way for the media outlets to control what you do with your media. Theres not really a fix for this.
