My DWL-520 is revision D, using the Realtek RTL8180 chip. Revisions A,B, and E use another chip, and Revision C uses yet another. The D-Link driver must be force-loaded and only support a few configuration functions in Debian with kernel 2.4.22. The compiled driver refuses to load at all!
