@LinuxPusher For Sims 3 the game was released with SecuROM.This is the DRM that imposed an install limit. Windows and OS X no longer support SecuROM due to it's poor support. In 2012 EA changed the DRM to Origin.

I just downloaded Sims 3 University life on my laptop and when I try to play it the message comes up saying "The license limit for this product has been reached, please contact EA support for help."

I downloaded IP and University, went to go play them, and an EA thing popped up saying the License Limit had been reached and I needed to contact EA Customer Support. I've checked many other forums, and apparently EA has not helped at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled* the base game (Plain old Sims 3) and the game was still unplayable.

When I downloaded them and installed them I opened the Sims 3 and I clicked play, waited a few seconds and then an important message pops up! (The license limit for this product has been reached.) so I uninstalled high-end loft stuff and tried again! It didn't work the same thing popped up again! My game is full updated! Please help! Thank You!

When I try to run Medal of Honor limited edition, I get the message: "The license limit for this product has been reached. Contact EA support for further assistance." The game will not run.
