I have seen number of people running X-Fi Xtreme Music together with 0404 and that seems to be the best value combo for music and games. Or, you can use X-Fi for music production too, on its own.

Jul 29, 2007 · The onboard sound uses the AD1988B chip, which supports EAX 1.0 and 2.0. However, it does not support the newer versions of EAX after 2.0 I have played Counter-Strike 1.6 for years but now with my new system fully built and working, I am thinking of buying Counter-Strike Source because of the improved graphics and support for surround sound.

Feb 15, 2013 · There's still a big competitive community left for counterstrike 1.6 and day of defeat 1.3, and taking out s_eax is a big kick in the teeth for them. Positional sounds are extremely important for competitive play.Personally I've used EAX and 5.1 settings for about ten years.
