    Jun 20, 2012 · This is only with properiety driver. Got rid of uefi and i am all good to go. after doing everything to get it up and running it really isnt worth it anyway. I found no difference in boot times.. it was Horrible setup! EDIT: Please however let me know if aanyone does have uefi and a framebuffer working in the console preferably with a splash.

    Aug 08, 2016 · Does the T420 support UEFI? If yes, boot using UEFI. FreeBSD should pickup the EFI framebuffer (which probably has the display's native resolution) and use it. Also assuming FreeBSD 10.3 supports your GPU, loading the i915kms kernel module while using kern.vty=vt in /boot/loader.conf should switch your console to the display's native resolution.
