The Enable bidirectional support box is greyed out If you cannot click in the box, the printer driver may be set to the wrong port. Check the fields under Port, Description, and Printer columns to confirm the printer is set to the proper port. You may need to scroll to see all the entries.

Dec 27, 2010 · After reverting to factory settings and reloading my Lexmark Pro200 printer, the printer refuses to work, saying communication with printer unavailable and that I need to go to printer properties dialog and set printer to enable bidirectional communication. However, I cannot find any settings in printer properties that allow me to enable this.

Sep 23, 2017 · My Kodak printer is connected via a local WiFi router and worked fine in Windows 8. However, after I upgrade my computer to Windows 10 Pro, it can’t print anything and lost all functionality. I try to print a test page and it says I need to enable bidirectional support. Making a reboot doesn’t fix it.
