Searching further I found the my.ini file in the xampp/mysql/bin folder, but the part that says "Comment the following if you are using InnoDB tables" are the same in both XAMPP's ( see below ). Can I just enable/configure InnoDB in /etc/my.cnf and restart MySQL, or is there more to this than meets the eye? I should add that this is a MySQL environment built from source (running on CentOS 5.5 x64) and we plan to use the InnoDB plugin rather than the built-in InnoDB capability.

Nov 12, 2015 · I'm having the same issue. I didn't find anything in Windows Event Service's logs. I tried to change mysql port from 3306 to 33061 but it didn't helped.

In earlier versions of MySQL, enabling this variable caused the server to behave as if the built-in InnoDB were not present, which enabled the InnoDB Plugin to be used instead. In MySQL 5.7, InnoDB is the default storage engine and InnoDB Plugin is not used, so this variable is ignored.

Aug 04, 2019 · xampp works totaly fine for about 2 weeeks and then this issue occurs when i try to start mysql database , it "starts" for about 7 seconds and then crashes, see logs below
