Jan 13, 2011 · The issue you are having may be cause by the Dissolve option in the Buffer tool. The ESRI dissolve algorithm is prone to run out of memory if the geometry is large/complex (roads and streams are typical offenders). Try running the tool not using the dissolve option. Do not use arbitrary numbers in the Gamma override. Unless you really know what you are doing, your gamma will either be 1.0 or 2.2. The issue with the images looking too bright once saved from the frame buffer is usually due to gamma correction being applied to it twice.
