It's very common to see Engineers with this build balancing the same amount of Focus as Strength. Dexterity, for Engineers, helps negate fumbled attacks (Torchlight II's version of missing an attack). Two-handed weapons are slower than one-handed weapons, so fumbled attacks have a greater detrimental effect on your DPS.

Sep 22, 2014 · I see he has a shield without a ShieldBash spec just so he can block, but little-known fact is, blocking still drains your Forcefield, so it doesn't actually help all that much compared to using a 2-hander melee Forcefield build, which adds a stun chance to all your DPS skills.

So its fairly easy to get more then enough of each stat. I recomend 3 str 2 vit, or 4 str 1 vit for normal / veteran. Elite is just painful. Engineer's have 3 builds. Pure summoner build. It's a fun build, and if you get enough + pet and minion damage, its insane.
