The End of Availability of vSphere ESX 4.x Hypervisor and vMA 1.0 and 4.0 is August 15, 2013. After this date, the software licenses will no longer be available for purchase. The End of General Support Life date remains May 21, 2014. The end of Technical Guidance remains May 21, 2016.

Aug 14, 2011 · Dear all, I heard that ESX 4 will soon have EOL. In my company i have installed two ESX 4 server and still got about 2 years of active subscription, so will i get support on my ESX 4? or do i need to upgrade to 5 and change to ESXi in order to get support?
