Nov 26, 2013 · I understand it was recently updated. That's the reason for the post. I don't see accurate ESXi 5.5 information in the document. For example, Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 only shows support up to ESX 5.1 U1? It's my understanding that WIndows NT is the only Microsoft server guest OS support depricated in the ESXi 5.5 release.

Aug 08, 2009 · VMware ESX/ESXi does not have a virtual sound card device emulated. So there's no direct support for sound within VM's running on ESX/ESXi hosts. However, sound can be played on the remote desktop client if you've set your client to redirect and play locally (assuming your thinclient/remote desktop session supports sound).
