Nov 26, 2013 · I understand it was recently updated. That's the reason for the post. I don't see accurate ESXi 5.5 information in the document. For example, Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 only shows support up to ESX 5.1 U1? It's my understanding that WIndows NT is the only Microsoft server guest OS support depricated in the ESXi 5.5 release.

Nov 05, 2019 · Also pay attention to support level. VMware has different levels of support from Tech Preview to Full Support. In the case of Windows Server 2019 it reached Full Support back in November 2018. So as far installing Windows Server 2019 and selecting a Guest OS of Windows Server 2016 you should be fine and fully supported.
