Nov 04, 2008 · I've attached a list of devices that ESXi (update 2) is able to recognize. Some of these are supported, some are not but will work, and some will not work. You may see eSATA card worth trying or it may be that your card is similar to another model and you can then try to modify the PCI db is ESXi to recognize the device.

Apr 07, 2010 · I am just gonna try to mount a folder through esxi to a physical server with some space. I will revisit this though, we are getting ready to flash the server to esxi 4.0. That may help things or not. BUt thank you for the tips, the vm-help.com site is full of tidbits. I still want to do this, but it is annoying that I cannot mount esata drives.
