Nov 10, 2012 · it was an arch bug, seems ettercap source code gives the possibility to build with or without gtk support, and they are 2 different packages, so downstream archs should give two different packages as well, what arch claims to do is to give one package and another depending on the first one... It was for sure a downstream bug :)

Hallo i have the compiled the current ettercap_ng cvs version (alpha 7) without SSL support (linux kernel 2.4.21). When starting sniffing in curses mode the display freezes (no keyboard input possible any more and display output isn't changing). In the log file i can still see that sniffing is active. The only way to leave this mode is with CTRL-C.
