Mar 09, 2010 · Hi Larry, ProClarity 6.3 was released in March of 2007, so Mainstream support would end around 5 years from then. Extended support starts when Mainstream support ends and goes for another 5 years (2017). My understanding of the Extended Support Phase is that there are hotfix and security updates (free) along with fee-based support options.

Elements of ProClarity were added into Microsoft's PerformancePoint Server, but the core Desktop Professional product was left largely unchanged with support ending in 2013, and the Excel add-in withdrawn. When developed ProClarity was a strong contender in the space, with good analytic capabilities for the power user.

Microsoft acquired ProClarity back in 2006. Extended support for ProClarity will soon end in 2017. Given that Microsoft has not migrated all of the ProClarity features to PerformancePoint, I am speaking to many users that are jumping ship on the ProClarity front and moving toward Pyramid Analytics.

Mar 29, 2017 · I am writing this article to briefly list the Microsoft products whose mainstream and extended support finishes this year 2017. So that IT folks have a wake-up call before it’s too late, they should either upgrade their MS product to the latest version of supported MS product or if the product has the option to extend for the support they should opt to avoid last hour panic.
