Trying to update a bios on a A53U laptop. EasyFlash recognizes the BIOS file but when I press Enter to flash I get: Model name doesn't match! Force to update BIOS? Yes No EasyFlash specifies the old BIOS as K43BY. The new BIOS file is K43BY-215 and was downloaded from Asus's page with A53U drivers. So what the heck does not match?

Jan 31, 2019 · If this does not work, you will need flash programmer to be able to flash/program/use this BIOS. That or you still had not found correct AFUDOS version, I think 4.40 is latest for AMIBIOS8 (4.48 AFUWin for BIOS8), if you need this version or others let me know.

I can't seem to get this to work. I'm trying to flash a modified version of the 6702 BIOS for my Asus P8B-E/4L AMI motherboard, but it simply refuses. The Asus EZ Flash tool within the BIOS itself is obviously not accepting it, but using the latest AFUDOS does not help either.

The disk (1.44 MB) could not hold both the upgrade program and the updated bios file (so, I tried with just the update program on the floppy and the BIOS update on the hard disk). So, I tried running the update program in windows XP Pro.
