Sep 21, 2015 · I first played this game about 10 years ago on my xbox 360 and obviously that was with a controller. Why doesnt the PC version support a controller? Did the game come out on PC before consoles? I have tried manually configuring the joystick controls but there are not enough buttons on the controller, it thinks that the whole D-pad is 1 button.

controller support for any PC Gamepad, Xbox 360 Controller, PS3 or PS4 Controller, PlayStation Controller, etc. ... fear.pin. Here is another one of my profiles. F.E.A.R. doesn't have an option to make "hold to aim" so I set the left trigger to do just that. Hope anyone can find this useful.

I went back and forth on getting FEAR 2 because I knew it didn't have controller support and I am in a similar position as you are, but I put in the time to get it working in joy2key because I really wanted to revisit it on PC because I always thought it looked super washed out on the 360. I've been tricked into buying cod5 on pc since it said on the back it supported the 360 controller when in reality it didn't. I don't want to make the same mistake again since pc software can't be returned for obvious reasons. So can anyone who has the full version of the game confirm controller support?

EDIT: For the record, unless a game is specifically designed in a way that using a gamepad would be nearly impossible, it's a good bet that most modern games on PC will have controller support of some sort. FEAR 2 and ME3 are the only console ports I can name that didn't have mouse support, and I'm not even sure if FEAR 2 is a port.
