Hi, I have been trying to use "amr" as audio codec in my ffmpeg command, but I cannot find how to add that in ffmpeg command. I googled but did not find anything. I have been using: *ffmpeg -i 1102_1102mtv_461.mpg -s qcif -vcodec h263 -acodec amr -ac 1 -ar 8000 -r 10 -ab 32 -y output.3gp* But, it shows me that... unknown encoder 'amr'.

Dec 13, 2011 · AMR Wide Band is often thought to be undistributable due to licensing, especially for writing AMR Wide Band. Using Ubuntu, you would have to compile FFmpeg with support for AMR Wide Band enabled in configure, then compile Audacity against that FFmpeg. You should not distribute that FFmpeg build to anyone else. Gale
