Apr 04, 2005 · Firefox 1.0.1 (same problem with 1.0). On redhat linux. kernel (2.4.x) On the same server, Netscape 7.2 displays the Chinese characters fine. Firefox just shows some weird looking blocks. Also, I noticed that the Simplified Chinese fonts that display in Netscape 7.2's Preferences->Appearance->Fonts are not available in the selection box on Firefox.

I am using (Unicode)UTF-8 for charcter encoding, and i have tried switching it to the asian fonts Chinese siplified, GB-5 and all that but no luck.
